Conservation of Energy is not a Law since it is predicated upon a hypothesis of the analysis of isolated systems which don't exist except as a fictional construction of engineers for the purposes of the analysis of those systems.
But if Conservation were a Law, then it is superseded (anyway) by General Relativity which provides for the very condition of “more energy exiting a system than entering it” which Conservation seeks to refute. This is why Conservation is not a Law since it is a self-contradiction to “have it both ways” We would have to give up believing in General Relativity as a theory if we persist in legalizing (politicizing) Conservation ...
